An Update at Last

ARCs, WIPs, and Updates, Oh My!

Hello and Welcome Back!

It’s been far too long since I sent out a Newsletter so there’s quite a bit to get caught up on. I’m going to try to keep it brief and not yap your reading eyes off. Here’s the basics of what we’re going to talk about today

  • The Flowered Blade

  • What am I working on?

  • What’s coming soon?

  • What is my optimistic plan for the future?

So let’s get started!

WOW

The Flowered Blade has been out since June 30th, and I cannot believe how well it’s been received. The love and support for this book is incredible and I’m so happy that so many people love this book. The story of Silvyr and Brokil is a special one, and the journey it took me on is just as special.

Not only that, but The Flowered Blade reached a ton of milestones since it’s release, and it’s all thanks to my readers, reviewers, alpha/beta readers, editor, cover designer, and anyone that so much as looked at a post of mine about it. Let’s take a look at those milestones:

  • 1000+ Units Sold

  • 1 Million Page Reads on Kindle Unlimited

  • #1 New Release in Transgender Romance

  • #1 Best Seller in Transgender Romance

  • Top 10 in LGBTQ+ Fantasy

  • Top 100 in Gay Romance

So again, thank you, thank you, thank you!

So What’s on the Writing Desk?

Right now, there are a variety of projects I am working on. But my priority is the rewrite of A Corruption of Souls and its sequel, A Redemption of Souls. “Beta” Readers are still working through A Corruption of Souls, but I’ve also already started rewrites just to keep myself on track. So far, it’s all going well!

I don’t have a timeline for the releases yet. The only thing I know for sure is that the rewrite of A Corruption of Souls will be released a month prior to A Redemption of Souls sometime next year, if all goes well.

It’s also important to note that once I rerelease A Corruption of Souls, it will go on KU and will be heavily discounted. I’ll also provide free epub copies to those who have already purchased paperbacks, because I don’t want y’all to have to repurchase the same book. The ebook should automatically update if you’ve purchased that.

When the time comes, I will call for ARC readers for each book, just for a little extra promo. So if you like gay knights falling in love with gay princes and Paladins who view devotion like religion, then you’ll want to keep an eye on this

Ikarys the Damned

Now we get to the juicy stuff! My next release, Ikarys the Damned, is nearly finished being polished up by my editor. Which means very soon, I will start sending out ARCs, creating the GoodReads page, and so on and so forth.

With that being said, as a subscriber of my newsletter, you will have first access to that ARC application. All the information you need is in the form itself. All you need to do is click this link:

Right now, the plan is to send out the ARCs mid-October/early-November. There’s a lot of formatting involved and I have an artist who’s helping me set up the book to look like a sort of D&D module book. We’ve got images of people with biographies, chapter headers, and maybe more. It’s a work in progress, but we’re getting there!

The tentative release date for Ikarys the Damned is January 15, 2024. This hasn’t been posted on socials yet, so please keep that to yourselves <3

Now What?

I don’t know how to format this, so I’m going with bullet points. Eventually I’ll have more information on these WIPs. But here is what I can say:

  • Sapphic Warriors

    • Ascal and Salthu’s Spin Off - Draft 1 Phase

  • The Flowered Blade 2

    • Basic Outline Completed

    • Minor Drafting Started

  • Beauty and the Beast Retelling

    • T4T4M - Beauty and the Beast are both transmasc

    • Trying to Outline - It’s fighting me y’all

  • Space Horror

    • Outline Completed

    • Drafting Started

    • Outline Being Solidified

Final Notes

Before I go, just a few more things

First, support and uplift the creatives in your life(this includes YOU). We are nothing without our communities. The people making art of all kinds deserve love and support for the work they put into their craft. If you focus on uplifting, you will be uplifted as well. Give good, and get good in return. It will serve you so much better than being mean and nasty towards other creatives.

Second, I love y’all. That’s it. That’s the note. I love y’all a lot.
